Changes
Changes go out in batches while this is being built. Newest first, with
the version and build each one carries — the app shows you the same, so a report
can name it.
Being worked on
A direction, not a date.
- Seeing what the next month and year will cost, from what you've paid, your supplies and your services
- A weekly email of what's coming up, and a calendar you can add to your phone
- Ask for help: put one of your tasks out to the whole place, and anybody can take it
- Staying a while: access that ends on its own on the day somebody leaves, and taking somebody off a place yourself
- A room that is somebody's, for a lodger, and things that are one person's, for roommates
- Renting: say you rent, and the landlord's tasks show as theirs, with Tell them or Do it myself
- Checked, not yet: for a check-up that's a look, say it didn't need doing and when to look again
- In the App Store and Google Play
- Photos and files on a thing or a paper
Known, and not fixed yet
- There is nowhere to put a photo or a file yet. A paper is a link to wherever it already lives.
- Costs only count what's been recorded. Nothing is projected forward yet, so the number is history rather than a forecast.
- There's no weekly email or calendar feed yet.

Fixed
- A task you're reading puts its facts in one box, a line each: For with Add, Who has it with Take it or Call, Due with when it was last done, Repeats and Cost. Adding to For saves straight away.
- Share is the share mark, a square with an arrow, at the top of the task.
- When I'll do it sits under the box until you pick one; then it's a line in the box with Change.
- Repeats says “Every year”, not “Every 1 year”.
- Before, the times it was done, comes after Comments.

Fixed
- Search is in the bottom bar on every screen, beside Home, Add and Tasks, instead of only at the top of Home. Back from Search goes to the screen you were on.
2026-11-05v0.56.0 · 56dd0cf24f
New
- Search finds the field guide too: type a word like “alarm” or “puppy” and the guide entries that mention it come up last, under Field guide. Each opens on its own page, with yours of that kind listed above it.

New
- Search, at the top of Home: type part of a name or what something is, and it finds the buildings, rooms, things, animals, vehicles, tasks, people and companies, papers, supplies, services and shutoffs on this place. Tap one to go straight to it; Back comes back to your search.
2026-11-05v0.54.1 · 0ec8eca548
Fixed
- Bring back on a building moves its animals and vehicles back in, unless you've given them another home since.
2026-11-05v0.54.0 · 968d43a9cf
New
- Delete on a thing or a building. It asks first and says what goes with it: a building's rooms and things, and their open tasks. Done tasks stay in history, and an animal that lives there stays.
- Bring back: a deleted thing or building waits under Removed, at the bottom of Buildings or Things and on the page it was in. Bring back returns it with everything that went with it.
2026-11-05v0.53.0 · 36bf48d0ca
New
- A task you've already made opens to read, not as a form: what it's for, who has it, when it's due, what it costs. Edit turns it back into the form, with Cancel and Save.
- On a task you're reading, the parts you use stay live: Done, When I'll do it, the checklist, Uses, Updates, and Notes, which saves when you leave the box.
- Utilities is a page like Animals: your water, septic, power and heating things as tiles, then their tasks and history. Each one opens its own page. What each building runs on is one link away.
- A thing or a building opens to its tasks. Its name and Use my location are inside Edit, at the bottom.
2026-10-22v0.52.1 · 2fbca764b4
Fixed
- The time on a task has its own labelled line, beside what a booked visit will cost; it was a blank bar that pushed the button out of line.
- Mark it done is Done (Fixed on something broken), and the box it opens saves with Save.
- No example text in What needs doing?
2026-10-22v0.52.0 · f5ded8db54
New
- Vaccines and spaying for a dog, on a dog's page: the core vaccines, how the puppy series works, California's rabies rule, adult boosters, when to spay or neuter by adult size, and what to ask the vet about — with the sources.
2026-10-22v0.51.0 · d08cba0e41
New
- Book a visit on a service: a date, a time and what it will cost, as a task with the company on it. The service shows when it's booked, Home shows the time, and Mark it done makes it the visit in history with what it actually cost.
- A time beside Due on any task.
Fixed
- Saving a task no longer clears a cost, how long or what you need when those boxes aren't on the screen.
2026-10-22v0.50.0 · 4c6671a995
New
- An animal keeps its birthday, the day it joined you, and its breed, on its page and when you add or edit it.
Fixed
- After adding a service, Back goes to the page you added it from, not the list of services.
- Whose is it? offers the place and your household only, never a company you call.
- While you type, the Save bar stops floating over the form and the keyboard.
- A service's For list is grouped: buildings and spaces, things, animals, vehicles.
2026-10-22v0.49.0 · 98670b450b
New
- A company's card has Call and Email, and Edit changes its name, company, phone and email.
Fixed
- Broken on Home puts what's for today first, then by date.
- The suggested checklist on something broken is short actions to tick; the why and how stay in About this.
2026-10-22v0.48.0 · 36c139c229
New
- About this, on the septic tank, leach field, septic pump and septic alarm panel: what it is, what it does, where it usually is, what's normal, what a sound or light means, what to do first and who fixes it — with the sources it comes from.
- Something's wrong with it, on one of those, starts with a suggested checklist: call the septic company, go easy on water, keep the lids closed. Remove any line before you save.
2026-10-22v0.47.0 · 5258677354
New
- Call the company that has a task straight from the task, and Share a task as text — what, since when, the notes, the checklist and the updates — for whoever is coming to fix it.
- On something broken, comments are Updates, each with its day and time, so what you tried and saw reads as a timeline.
2026-10-16v0.46.1 · 3fb2f1c33e
Fixed
- The last few buttons and labels in the old wording now use the usual words too: Name, Export, Cancel, Use my location, and mark it done.
2026-10-15v0.46.0 · b351a39f72
New
- Planned upkeep: when the database is going to be updated, a notice shows days ahead, above What has changed and on the site's Changes page, saying when.
- A task started from Vehicles (or Animals, or Things) starts with For set: the one you have, or the list of them to pick from.
Fixed
- While the database is away for an update, saves wait on your phone and go up when it's back. Before, a save then showed an error, and a change already waiting from a moment with no signal could be lost.
- Add and Tasks show the page they're for as a chip with its own ×, the same as For on a task. The separate "× anything" and "× all" are gone.
- Feedback is Send and Cancel. Sending saves it straight to us; no mail app.
- Buttons and fields say what they do in the usual words: Save, Cancel, Done, Export, Use my location, Name, Notes, Cost.
- Changes and Feedback, at the foot of Home, are shorter and centred.
2026-10-11v0.45.0 · a3741ec365
New
- When I'll do it, on the task itself: Today, This week, Next week or Later, apart from when it's due. It's the same as the plan board, so a card can move without dragging.
- A Call step in an emergency plan takes their number right there, and gets a Call button. Points at lists the companies you use, the numbers you keep, and people.
- A plan step's Do can be any word you like.
- Someone to call is right under Who to call on the Emergency screen.
Fixed
- The sign-in code box is the full width of the screen.
- On an iPhone, the first screen says to add DwelLogs to your Home Screen before signing in, because the Home Screen app keeps its own sign-in.
- Coming back to the code screen already signed in goes on in.
Gone for now
- Who to call is no longer repeated on each plan: a plan's calls are its steps, and 911 is on the Emergency screen.
2026-10-11v0.44.0 · cb259f511d
New
- Drag a card to another column on a board, by finger or mouse. On a phone, hold it a moment until it lifts; a quick swipe still scrolls the board. The Move box is off the cards.
- Flipbooks on the Help pages, the front page and See: the real screens, flipping through what happens when you slide a card, change an emergency plan, or turn your phone sideways.
- A new help page, Lists and boards.
Fixed
- Zooming the board out shrank the task names but not the line under them.
- A thing with a kind of your own could be refused on the next try after its first save failed.
2026-10-11v0.43.0 · 426a73a5c8
New
- An emergency plan is a draft until you save it: slide a suggested step right to change it -- the plumber can be your own plumber, with their number -- or left to remove it, and add your own. Cancel leaves nothing behind.
- A saved plan works the same way: slide any step to change or remove it.
- A paper's What is it? is type-to-find, with your own kind when it isn't on the list, and can be skipped when the paper has a name.
- Someone to call, from Add on the Emergency screen: Grandma to get the kids, the lawyer, the police non-emergency line. They're the place's, so everyone on it sees them in Who to call, right after 911.
- Tasks says when you can turn your phone sideways to see them as a board, until you've seen it.
- Zoom the board out to see more columns: pinch it, or use - and +. It remembers.
Fixed
- Start blank, then Cancel, saved an empty plan and hid the suggestions. An empty plan doesn't count now.
- A plan not saved yet still shows the shutoffs that matter and who to call.
2026-10-11v0.42.0 · b584067beb
New
- Emergency, the red button near the top of Home: what's happening? Water leak, fire or evacuating, gas smell, earthquake, flood, storm, power out -- each your plan in order, the shutoffs that matter, and who to call with one tap. It works with no signal.
- Every situation starts from a suggested plan, labelled with where it came from (Ready.gov, CAL FIRE, common plumbing advice). Keep it to make it yours, or start blank. Steps that turn something off point at your own shutoffs.
- Plan for a situation of your own: Add, then Something else to plan for.
- A step can point at a shutoff, someone to call, an animal, a vehicle, a thing or a paper.
- Papers are back: where the original is, its number, who to call about it, and a link if a copy is online.
Fixed
- Adding a shutoff without a name or How it turns was refused. It takes the thing's name, and How it turns is optional; Where it is is the one it asks for.
- If a save is ever missing something it needs, it says which field, in the screen's own words.
2026-10-11v0.41.1 · 9bd9ab61cc
Fixed
- Coming back to the app on a new day counts as using it that day, not only opening it fresh.
2026-10-11v0.41.0 · 6ba8664d5d
New
- Shutoffs: a red button near the top of Home. Water, electric, gas, septic and irrigation, each saying where it is first, how it turns, and what it doesn't cover.
- Mark where I'm standing pins a shutoff -- or any thing or building -- where you stand, and Take me there gives walking directions to it. Walk the property once and pin every hose bib.
- A thing can have its shutoff: the switch in the septic pump's control box, the breaker for the well pump. Add, then Its shutoff, on its page.
- New kinds of thing: shutoffs (main water, gas, main breaker and more, each with a yearly check), a septic pump control panel with a high-water alarm test, and hose bibs with a check before the first freeze.
- What it shuts off is type-to-find, with your own kind when it isn't on the list.
2026-10-11v0.40.0 · 02229be82c
New
- What kind of thing? is type-to-find, with what fits the building first. If it isn't on the list, add it as its own kind -- a weedwacker, a log splitter.
- Home's Supplies tile is Supplies & services: one screen with both, and Add there offers either.
2026-10-11v0.39.1 · db4782090a
Fixed
- A supply's history no longer says Used one twice.
2026-10-11v0.39.0 · f2a736a3ca
New
- Services: who you call, for what, how often and what a visit costs -- "Valley Septic pumps the septic tank every 3 years, $350". Add on a thing, building, animal or vehicle offers A service for it.
- A service's check-up comes due on Home under the company's name. Marking it done is their visit, in the thing's history with what it cost.
- Log a visit, including ones from before you lived there. The next one is counted from the latest.
- Who looks after it, on each thing's page; Services on People and companies, and each company's page lists what they do here and when they came.
- Buildings & rooms on Home is now Buildings & spaces: a space is a room, a yard or a pasture alike.
2026-10-11v0.38.0 · 26cf62b7ea
New
- A thing's, an animal's or a vehicle's supplies show on its page, and buying or using them shows in its history.
- Add on a thing, animal or vehicle page offers A supply for it, and Add on Things, Animals and Vehicles offers A supply.
Fixed
- A deleted supply no longer shows on its thing's page or in its history.
- The on-page button for adding a supply is gone; Add at the bottom does it, already pointed at the page.
2026-10-11v0.37.1 · bb1806aaf0
Fixed
- A line on Home between what is on the place and Something broke, New task and Idea.
2026-10-11v0.37.0 · 95ebb6c018
New
- Supplies: what you use up and buy again -- filters, salt, batteries, food and feed. How many you have, the price, where you bought it, a link, and what it's for.
- Bought more and Used one on each supply. Buying sets the price for next time.
- A task can say what it Uses from your supplies. Marking it done takes them off the count, every round of a repeat.
- Once something has been used a few times, it says when it will run out, and what that's projected from. Running low shows on Home.
- Projects moved off the Home tiles to make room for Supplies: open projects are a section on Home, with how far along each is, and a Projects list on Tasks.

- Sign in to use DwelLogs. A log kept only on a phone could be lost when the browser cleared it; if your phone has one, signing in puts it in your account.
- Delete my account and data, on your screen. It says first what happens to each place, including who becomes owner of a place others are on.
- Your own name for somebody else's home: Rename on its page. Only you see it.
- When a task is done, say which household did it or paid: the place, or a home on it. Never a person, never added up.
- What's new remembers what you've seen across all your phones, and never counts your own reports.
Fixed
- Someone who can't set up repeats on a building isn't offered Frequency there, so a save is never refused for it.

Fixed
- A task set to repeat, and its Last done, could be refused on an account with "That is not yours to change". Every new row now says which place it is on.
- Coming back to the app picks up what others changed since you last looked, unless a task is open or you are typing.

New
- Slide a line on a task's checklist right to edit it, or left to remove it, the same as a task card.
- A check-up says how often wherever it is named: "Check-up · every 6 months". The Check-ups screen says they are tasks that repeat.
Fixed
- Checklist lines run the full width, one to a line, with the box on the right. Every tick box is on the right now.
- A broken task keeps a yellow outline and a wrench once somebody takes it, so it still reads as broken.
- A late check-up says how late in red, without the red clock.
- Repeats on a task is called Frequency.
Gone for now
- Somewhere in particular, under a checklist. Put each place in For instead and each gets its own line. A line that already named a place keeps it.

New
- The task screen is laid out row by row: For with + Add, Who has it with Take it, Due with Mark it done, Repeats with how often and Set up. The kind of task is picked at the top, where it is named.
- Picking what a task is for: tap + Add, choose Things, Animals, Vehicles, Buildings or Rooms, or type. Each line says where it is.
- Comments are at the foot of a task, newest first, and Delete, Cancel and Save stay at the bottom of the screen.
Fixed
- The list of things under For closes when you tap away, instead of staying open under the keyboard.
- Late reads in red by the date; the small red clock is gone.
- Outdoor spaces are green wherever they are listed, and a truck looks like a pickup.

New
- Comments on a task: say what you found or when you can get to it. Each says who said it and when, and you can delete your own.
- On a place you share, a bell on Home and Tasks shows what's new since you last looked: comments from somebody else, something they reported broken, and a task done.

New
- Tasks, from a page, shows that page's tasks first: on a car's page, its tasks, and a new task there is already for it. The × shows them all.
- The lists on Home say how many: Late 1, This week 3, Broken 2.
- What it's for lists things as soon as you tap it, your own home's first, before you type.
2026-10-09v0.30.0 · 24564d7cae
New
- Tasks are taken, not given: Who has it is nobody, you, or a company you call. Anybody can take one over, or just do it and mark it done.
- Cards and lists say yours, taken, or the company's name -- never another person's. History says it was done, and which company did it if one did, but not who on the place did it. Who has it, in the filter, is Me, Nobody, Someone else, or a company.
Fixed
- What somebody paid says "paid by us" instead of their name.

- A home on your place shows by the name its owner gave it. Only one that just says what it is gets their name in front: "Jo's Tiny house".

New
- Somebody whose home is on the place sees their home everywhere -- Home, Tasks and the lists under Something broke, New task and Idea -- with All of the place one tap away. Their Home has their house's own line and its tiles: rooms, things, animals and utilities.
- A home on your place that is shared with you in full is one tap from your Home and Tasks: "Jo's Home" next to All of The ranch.
- Where, in Filter and sort: the place, a home on it, or both, so a saved list can cover them together.
- Rename, under Your places on your screen: rename a place you run, or your own home on somebody else's place.
- Names follow what something is until you name it: a building, room, space or thing left unnamed is called what it is, and changes with it -- a shed made a workshop becomes "Workshop". Your own name stays whatever else changes; clear it and it goes back to what it is.
- Rename, on every page: a place, building, room, space, thing, animal or vehicle.
- Edit, on every page: change what was set when it was added -- a building's kind, a thing's kind and when it was installed, an animal's kind, what it is kept as, whose it is, where it lives and what it gives, the kind of place, and everything about a vehicle.
- Drawings for outdoor spaces -- the yard, garden, orchard, pasture, driveway, dock, pool area, septic field, well site and fence line -- and a green for what grows and lives: spaces and animals.
Fixed
- A place left unnamed is called what it is -- Tiny house, House, Condo, Cabin -- and so is its building, instead of "Home".
- Fewer words: signing in, setting up, the setup card, Check-ups, Tell us something and leaving a place each say less.
- Fewer words on cards and pages: done is a tick and late is a clock; "fine" and "due soon" are gone, because the date beside them already says it; the "Last: …" line under a page's name is gone, because History has it; empty lists say less.
2026-10-08v0.28.0 · b6a5ceb219
New
- Several of the same thing share one check-up, the way one deworming covers both cats: six smoke detectors get one "Test it", with a line for each to tick. New ones are combined when you add them. Ones you already have are offered on Check-ups, with Combine. Each thing keeps its own history, and a check-up on a different schedule stays its own.

Fixed
- Bringing a home in failed with "That is not yours to change on this place" for somebody who had already signed in and accepted the invite. Their phone's log goes up as theirs now, and the home comes in.

- Any list as a board: on Tasks, or a saved list, choose Board by plan -- Not planned, Today, This week, Next week, Later, which is when you mean to do it, apart from when it is due -- or Board by status -- To do, In progress, Waiting, Done. Drag a card to another column, or use Move on it. Moving to Done logs it done today. Turning a phone sideways on Tasks shows the board.
Fixed

- Saved lists: on Tasks, set the filter and Save as a list. Each list gets a tile under Lists on Home, with how many tasks are in it. Open one to see its tasks; change its filter and Save changes, or Delete this list. Your lists are yours; nobody else on the place sees them.
Fixed
- "To prioritize" is called Unprioritized: tasks with no date or nobody on them yet.
- A task a company has -- Valley Septic, the vet -- counts as somebody having it: its card says so, it goes on Home once it has a date, and Who has it in the filter finds it.

New
- Add at the bottom narrows to where you are: on Animals it is an animal, or a task for an animal whose For only looks among the animals; the same on Vehicles, Things and Buildings. The x opens everything. Pages no longer have their own add buttons.
- Broken is its own list, and comes first: at the top of Home, first on Tasks whatever the sort, and as Broken next to To do.
- Tasks has its lists side by side: To do, Broken, To prioritize, Ideas, Done, All.
- Filters pick several at once: kinds, when, who has it and whether it repeats are taps; a building, thing, animal or vehicle are four short lists instead of one long one.
- Lists fold: tap a heading -- Broken, Coming up, Buildings, Things, Tasks -- to close it, and it stays closed until you open it again.
- Ideas on Home, folded until you open them.
- Something broke, New task and Idea show what is already there first, with New at the top, so the same thing is not added twice. With nothing there yet, they go straight to adding.
Fixed
- Your screen is tighter: your name and Save on one line, each place a card with its links under it, and fewer words.
- Filter and sort on Tasks is two across instead of six boxes down.
- Lists of ticks, like what an animal gives, are two across. Short questions sit side by side. The main button is always on the right, after Cancel.
- The Home buttons at the bottom of pages are gone; the bar at the bottom has Home.
- Something broke, New task and Idea show how many are open as a small number in the corner, instead of links underneath.
- The bar at the bottom lights Add while you are adding and Tasks on a list of tasks.
- People and companies are tiles, side by side; adding someone you call is folded away until you want it.
- Filter words are plainer: Repeats or Once instead of "From: Written down".

- The bar at the bottom -- Home, Add, Tasks -- is on every screen, except a task's own, which has Delete, Cancel and Save.
- Every page is laid out like Home: its name on the left and you on the right, then what is in it as tiles, each with a + to add one there, then its tasks. Buildings shows the buildings and the outdoor spaces; a building shows its rooms and areas, its things and its animals.
- Things, animals and vehicles say where they are under their names, instead of what they are again.
- Add starts from where you were: on Tato's page it offers a task for Tato or another animal; on the house, a room, a thing, an animal or a task there. The x takes you back to adding anything.
- Vehicles have their own drawings -- a car, a truck, a motorbike, an ATV, a tractor, a trailer, a boat, a mower -- on their tiles and on the Vehicles line.
- Something broke, New task and Idea on Home are tiles with pictures, like the ones that ask what kind of task.
- Tasks opens like Home: Something broke, New task and Idea at the top, then how many tasks with To do, Done and All beside it.
Fixed
- Things, animals and vehicles can be added from their own pages again.
- Task cards look the same everywhere: what and where on the left, when and how it stands on the right. History reads the same way.
- Save and the other buttons sit on the right. Links look like links.
- Shorter words: Coming up with 7, 30 or 90 days beside it; "7 more"; tiles that say "11 Buildings & rooms"; Tasks with To do and History beside it.

- Four kinds of task. Add a task asks which first: Maintenance (once or on a repeat), Broken (with how bad, and Mark it fixed), Idea (just what and what for, and Make it a task or a project when you are ready) or Project (its own tasks inside it, with "3 of 7").
- Still to prioritize, on Home: a task you added shows on Home once it has a date and somebody on it. The rest wait behind this one button. A project's tasks stay in the project, and ideas under Ideas on Tasks.
- A new Home: the place and you at the top, then six tiles -- Buildings & rooms, Animals, Vehicles, Things, Utilities and Projects -- each saying how many and how many to do. Then Something broke, New task and Idea across the screen, with what is open under each; Next 7, 30 or 90 days; and cards with what and where on the left and when and how it stands on the right.
- Projects: a list of them from Home, each with how many of its tasks are done.
- Home's first tile follows the place: a house, a condo or a boat shows its Rooms; land or a lot shows its Spaces -- the garden, the pasture; a ranch or a farm shows Buildings & rooms. Add a garage to a house and it becomes Buildings & rooms by itself.

- A done task says so: "Done Oct 6" at the top of it and on its line, and a green done on the Tasks list, with the date in words.
- "Updated — see what changed" stays gone once you have opened it or said Not now. Signed in, it came back every day.
- What feeds it is called Utilities, on Home and on its own page.
Gone for now
- "Things need you now" and the big number on Home, and Everything as a span on Home. Everything is on Tasks.

New
- A new task screen, top to bottom: what needs doing; what it is for; who has it, with Take it; when it is due, when it was last done, and Mark it done; whether it repeats, with Set up for how often; notes; the checklist; and Delete, Cancel and Save at the bottom.
- Who has it can be you, somebody on the place, or a company you call. It takes the place of Who you call.
- A building, on Add, on Buildings and on the place's page: a carport, a garage or a shed on its own, without a thing to put in it first.
Fixed
- Adding a vehicle offers Somewhere new -- a garage, a carport -- and only the parts of the building it is parked in, not every bedroom and attic on the place.
- Home says Other tasks, not On your list: nobody had taken them.
- The grey example in a box clears as soon as you tap it, and a task's checklist says add a line instead of an example about bottle tops.
- Buildings show as squares with their own names, like the tiles on Home. A building you renamed no longer has what kind it is written under it as well.
- Ideas on Tasks shows only when there are ideas. Nothing makes one for now, so it was a tab that was always empty.
- Check-ups: Next due moves as you fill in Last done or how often -- every 4 months from Aug 20 shows Dec 20 straight away, not the old date until you save. A date you type into Next due yourself stays.
- Home starts with Buildings, Animals and the rest, then what needs doing.
- "Ticking it off" says "Checking it off".
Gone for now
- More on a task, and Later inside it: the due date moves a task. Done today at the bottom of a task: Mark it done is next to the due date, and asks for the day, what happened and what it cost.

- Task, not job, everywhere: Add a task, the Tasks tab, New task. The same thing, under the word people use for it.
- Start with a task: after your name and the place's name, you are on Home. Setting the place up is there when you want it, under Set it up on Home, and nobody has to.
- A new task finds what it is for as you type -- a thing, an animal, a building, a room -- or adds it on the spot: its name, what it is, and where. Something the app knows, like a pool filter, gets its check-ups offered after you save. Notes sit right under it, for anybody who would rather just write it down.
- Later, under More on a task: pick a new day, and it moves.
Fixed
- Signing out goes to the sign-in screen, even when the phone has a log on it from before you signed in. That log is one tap away there, under Use it on this phone.

- A job for several animals or things has a line for each: tick them as you get to them. The card says "3 of 5", each one's own history says when it was done, and the job is done when they all are -- or tap Done today for the rest. The next time round, they all start unticked.
Fixed
- A job's card on Home says what it is about -- the utility sink, the barn -- the way a check-up's card does, instead of "Something to do".
- One job for both cats says "Tato and Biscuit" on its card, on Animals and on each cat's page. It named only the first, so it looked as if the other's was missing.

- On a thing's page: Something's wrong with it, a job about that thing in one tap.
- Slide a check-up left to Stop it reminding you: on Home, on Jobs and on a page's Comes round. It can be turned back on under Check-ups. Check-ups on a page slide right to Done too.
Fixed
- Adding a thing of a kind your account did not have yet, like a pool, failed with an error about "category_id". It saves now.
- What kind of thing? is grouped, with what fits the building first: a pool area opens on Pool & spa.
- History on a building or a group puts the thing first and what was done under it, with dates as Oct 5 rather than 2026-10-05.
- Opening a building or a group starts on To do, not on whichever tab the last one was left on.
- Saving Rooms, What's in it or What it runs on goes back to the page you opened it from -- the barn, the coop -- not Home. Adding a thing does the same, by way of its check-ups.
- Buildings, and Rooms & things, leave out jobs about animals and vehicles. Deworming the cat showed under Buildings because the cat lives in the house.
- Waiting invites say what they let somebody do, and the date they stop working, in words.
- Adding an animal, Who lives here and Move it go back to the page you opened them from, on save or Cancel.
Gone for now
- Parked for now, to get the basics right first: What it needs on a job, spares and Running low; Soonest, Quickest and Cheapest; the Costs tab; papers; the kind of job; parts of a thing; and Whose it is on a building. Nothing you saved is lost, and each comes back when it is needed.

- Pools and hot tubs: the pool, its pump, filter, salt cell or chlorinator, cleaner, refill pump and filter traps, each with its own check-ups. A pool area leads with them on What's in it.
- Outdoor things: deck boards (look over them, and seal or stain), outdoor lights, a grill and a patio heater. A deck, porch or patio leads with them.
- Internet: a router or modem, and Wi-Fi hubs, so you know where each one is. The companies behind your accounts go on People and companies.
- A lift pump, for a holding tank that pumps up to a septic tank, and a leach field to walk now and then.
- Parts of a thing: from a thing's page, A part of it adds a filter cartridge, a UV lamp or a pool's pump to it, each with its own dates. Changing one cartridge does not reset the others.
- Outdoor places -- a pool area, a garden, a leach field -- can say what is in them, from What's in it or their own page. Still blank does not ask them.
Fixed
- Save and Done today stay pinned to the bottom of a job, and the job scrolls under them. Save sat in the middle of the screen, and opening anything above it pushed it out of sight.
- "Pool area" says it is the area around the pool; the pool itself is a thing in it.

New
- Toilets, showers and bathtubs on What's in it, next to the sinks, each with a look now and then: a toilet that runs or rocks, a shower head to descale, caulk to check.
Fixed
- Saving What's in it with nothing filled in counts as nothing in here, so an empty shed stops coming up first on "Save, then …".
- Setting up says what Take me in does, and has it at the top as well as the bottom. Setup stays open until it is tapped, so it was easy to stay on it for days without finding the home screen.
- An invite shows on the setup screen too, for a phone that has not finished setting up.
- The first question says it wants your own name, and that the place gets its name next.
- Join with a code, not signed in, keeps the code and goes to signing in; the invite opens after. It went the old Google Sheet way, which looks for the invite on the phone and could not find one sent from an account.

New
- A simpler job screen: what, what it is about, when and how often; a checklist; what it needs; notes. Who has it, who you call, the kind of job and Remove are under More.
- A check-up's checklist and what it needs come round again each time, unticked, with who else it is for and who you call. They stayed behind on the finished one, so the steps had to be typed in again.
- Done it? asks what happened and what it cost, both optional: "Pass", or what was found. It shows in the history beside the date.
Fixed
- Turning on a repeat for a job, like deworming the cats, failed with an error about "responsibility" when signed in. The job saved; the repeat did not. It saves now.
Gone for now
- From the job screen: Start, time and cost estimates, safety, and "Something is wrong with it" as a tick. A job can still be marked as something wrong under More, and nothing already saved is lost.

- A building's page has A thing here, Rooms and What it runs on at the top. Until it had rooms or things, the only thing on it was Add a job; a room's page has A thing here too.
- Ceiling fans: an answer on What cools it, with dusting the blades and switching direction for the season. Ceiling fans typed in before turn into the answer the next time you open that screen.
- Rooms are back in setting up, for the buildings people live in. Sheds and barns are not asked.
- Nothing in here to track: say so on What's in it, and an empty shed comes off Still blank.
Fixed
- Changes on a job were lost when you pressed Record it under Was it already done?, or added something to buy: the screen redrew from what was saved before. What you typed is kept and saved with it now.
- Changing how often a check-up comes round moves its next date to match, counted from when it was last done -- unless you set the date yourself.
- Things added after setting up, like a well on What does it run on?, show their check-ups to keep or untick, instead of appearing on Home unasked.
- Cards no longer slide over the menu at the bottom of the screen.
- Screens open at the top. Several, like adding an animal, opened partway down.
- Where to get it, on something a job needs, takes a place as well as a link. It used to bring up a keyboard with no space bar.

- Bring your home in: invite somebody and say they will bring their own home. If they set it up on their own phone, after accepting they can bring it in whole, as a building on your place that is theirs, with its things, check-ups, jobs and history. They choose whether you see everything in it, or only that it is there and what it is hooked up to.
- What their home runs on: if the well or septic is already on your place, they say what their home gets from it, and a well of their own that is the same one becomes yours instead of a second one, with what they logged on it. Their own solar, holding tank and battery stay theirs.
- Someone whose home is on your place opens the app on their home, with the whole place one tap away.
- Hand a building to somebody on your place, from the building's page: the shed you built for them, say. Say whether it stays with the place or goes with them if they move on. Once it is theirs, what you see inside it is up to them.
- What somebody else paid for shows on that line: "Pumped the tank · $350 · paid by Mom". It is never added up per person.
- How sharing works: a page on dwellogs.com with the kinds of access, whose a building is, and how to set up family, guests, roommates and a home parked on your land. Linked from Invite somebody and wherever a building can be somebody's.
Fixed
- An invite link opened on a phone that already had its own log said nothing about the invite. Home says so now, with Sign in.

- Join with a code, from your screen, if you are already signed in and somebody invites you to another place.
Fixed
- Save on a job no longer sits on the line below it.
- "Also for" on a job is one folded line, "Also for other things…", instead of a tick box for everything on the place. It opens by itself when something is ticked, or when you came from an animal's page and there are only a few others.
- Date boxes on an iPhone, like "Good until" on an invite, ran past the right edge of the screen. They fit now, with the date on the left like every other box.

- Signed in with no signal, everything is still there to look at and change. Changes wait on the phone and go up as soon as the signal comes back, even a bar of it. Home says how many are waiting.
- Put it on your home screen: the steps for your phone, on Home and on your screen, including Chrome on an iPhone and Android. On Android, an Install button when the phone offers one.
Fixed
- Sign out goes back to the first screen, to sign in again or start on this phone -- not to an old copy of your log.
- Once your log is in your account, the phone's own copy is cleared, so nothing is left behind to get out of step.
- Two people changing different parts of the same job no longer undo each other: only what you changed is sent.
- A save made on a flicker of signal no longer hangs the screen. After a few seconds it waits on the phone and goes up later.

- Remove a job: slide it left on Jobs and tap Remove, or open it and use Remove this job at the bottom. What was already logged as done stays in the history.
- A new job can be saved as already done: say the day you did it, and it goes in the history on that day.
Fixed
- Jobs has Add a job at the top.
- A job with no name says "No name yet" on Jobs, so the empty ones left behind by older versions are easy to find and remove.
- Tapping into a number that is already filled in selects it, so what you type replaces it. A phone's number pad has no space bar to move the cursor with.
- Signed in, Bring back on a removed place brings it back. It said it had and changed nothing.
- Add is a row of choices, with A thing among them. The form for a thing opens on its own and starts with nothing picked -- it used to sit open under the choices, already set to a well.
- Mark it done takes you back to where you opened the job, like Save.
- The top of the screen stays clear of the phone's clock when you scroll. The fix in 0.8.0 did not take on iPhone.
- On a building's or a group's page, To do, History and Costs are the same small buttons as on Jobs, and the search box no longer touches what is above and below it.

- One job can cover several things: from Tato's page, add "Deworm the cats" and tick Biscuit under Also for. It is one job, ticked once, and it shows on both cats' pages.
- Steps can be changed: tap Change on a step to fix its words or where it happens, without losing its tick.
- Jobs, where Log was: every job and check-up, done ones included. To do, Done, Ideas or All at the top; filter by kind, when (late, the next 30 days, the last 30 days, or between two dates), what it is about, who has it and where it came from; sort by when it is due, when it was done, when it was added or what it costs. It remembers how you left it.
Fixed
- Signing in from the app on your home screen: press and hold Sign in in the email, choose Copy Link, and paste it into the app. Tapping the link opens your phone's browser, which keeps its own copy of everything and may not be where your log is.
- Signed in with nothing in the account yet, the first screen now says so, and says where your log is if it is on this phone in another app or browser. Sign out is right there.
- Save on a job takes you back to where you opened it from, and says Saved. Back does the same.
- A job opens at the top of the screen, not wherever the list you tapped it from was scrolled to.
- A new job is only saved when you press Save, and it needs a name. Leaving one half-written no longer leaves a nameless "A job" behind.
- Added from an animal's page, a job's "What is it about?" lists your animals, not every building and thing.
- Mark it done sits under the date, not on top of it, and the top of the screen no longer slides under the phone's clock.
- "Who you call" starts at "Nobody, we do it ourselves".
- Home is shorter. The grid of twelve tiles at the bottom is gone: adding a job, a reading, a paper, an animal, a vehicle or another place is on the Add tab, and People and companies and Invite somebody are on your screen. What has changed and Tell us something are two links at the foot.
- Still blank shows the three that matter most, with the rest a tap away. Outdoor places like the yard or a fence line are no longer listed for what they run on, and the tiles say Check-ups and Invite somebody.

- On the screens that are asked one building at a time, "Answering for" at the top says which building you're on, and switching saves first. "Save, then …" takes you to the next building still waiting.
- Setting up works one building at a time, for every building — rooms, what's in it and who lives there aren't just about the main house any more. If you close the app partway, setup picks up where you left it.
- Check-ups: one screen for each thing the app keeps an eye on. Untick it, change how often, say when it was last done, and change when it's next due — say the tankless flush is due this week even though it's yearly.
- Adding a job asks what it is, what it's about and when — Today, This week, Next week, Someday or a date — and whether something's wrong. Then Save. Steps, repeats, who does it, what to buy, time and cost, and notes are headings you open when you want them.
- Adding a building: "Another kind…" with the buildings lists only the building kinds not already shown. "Somewhere else…" with the outside ones is for anything that isn't on the list — the pond, the woodlot — and gets asked what land is asked.
- Adding an animal: "Something else…" for one that isn't listed, your own words for what you get from it and what it helps with, and "a service or assistance animal" under Kept as.
- Icons are drawn in the orange from the DwelLogs heartbeat.
- Setting up is quicker: the buildings, what they run on and what's in them, then you're in. Rooms, who lives where, animals, where it is and the house's papers are waiting on Home under Still blank.
- The pulse line draws what it's about, like the one on dwellogs.com: your buildings on Home, your animals on the Animals page, and a building's or animal's own outline on its page — each followed by a heartbeat as tall as how soon it needs you. Every animal type has its own icon too.
Fixed
- Lists of tick boxes take about a third less room, so the long questions scroll less.
- Answering "Same one, or its own?" after "Save, then …" took you back to the list instead of on to the next building. It goes on to the building you picked.
- The rooms screen asked twice for something not on its lists. One box now — a room or space we did not list — and what you type becomes a room or space you can file things against.
- Who lives here: an empty box showed a grey 0 that looked like an answer. It says "how many" now, and there's a "Nobody lives here" tick. The names on the log are labelled as everyone at the place, not the building you're on.
- Adding a name that was already on the log made a second person with the same name, who then showed up twice under "Whose is it?". It uses the one already there.

- A ZIP code for each place, if you'd like to give one — it's for the weather where the place actually is. Call the place whatever you call it.
- Where it is — region, ZIP, climate, freezing and what can happen there — can be changed after setup, from your name at the top of Home.
- "An attic fan" is one of the answers for what cools a building, with its own check-up.
Fixed
- After an update, the note saying what changed sat near the bottom of Home, where it was easy to miss. It's at the top now, and names the version.
- Opening the app right after an update showed a blank screen for a few seconds. It opens straight away now, and when there's a new version it says "Getting the new version…" while it comes down.
- If the site had a problem, the app could open to an error page instead of what's on your phone. It opens from your phone.
- What you type into "Another kind of…?" is kept as part of that building's answer, and shows on What feeds it. It used to disappear.
- A building where nobody lives can say so. Putting 0 kept it on the still-blank list.
- Adding a building no longer jumps you to the top each time you pick a kind. Pick it, name it, add it, top to bottom. "Something else…" lists only the kinds that aren't already on the screen.
Gone for now

- A garden, pasture or pool area can say where its water comes from — a spigot, a well, or irrigation. Each irrigation system is its own thing, and one that doesn't connect to another gets its own name.
- Remove a place you own, from your name at the top of Home. Nothing is deleted — it waits under Removed and Bring back puts it back as it was.
- Each kind of building is asked what fits it first. A coop or pump house is asked about water, power and heat; waste, cooling and hot water are one tap away if it has them.
- What's in it leads with what belongs there: filters and tanks in a pump house, a fire extinguisher and its animals in a coop. Everything else is under Show the rest.
- A building on a well, spring or hauled water is offered a whole-house filter and a softener.
- Start over has moved from the Add tab to your name at the top of Home.
Fixed
- What feeds it said "nothing wired up yet" for buildings you had already answered. It shows what each one runs on.
- Tapping a building on What feeds it opened the building's page. It opens what that building runs on, and saving brings you back to the list.
- Back on a screen you reopened after setup, like a building's rooms or what it runs on, dropped you into the first-time setup. It doesn't now.
- Pressing Back enough times could land you on "Start with your name" and, from there, set up your place a second time with a second you. Back stops at Home now, and setting up another place is always done as you.
- On a phone, the date and "Who did it" boxes on When was it last done ran into each other. They sit one above the other now.
- A garden counted questions it was never asked, so it read "1 of 6" and stayed on the still-blank list for good. It counts only what it's asked.
- Adding an animal never asked where it lives, so it ended up in no building. It asks now, and starts with a likely answer — the house for a cat or a dog, the coop for chickens.
- Leaving a place someone shared with you didn't take it off your list. It does now.
- Counting something in What's in it could save nothing at all if that kind of thing was added to the app after you set up — a fire extinguisher in a coop, for one. It saves now.
